I always like to make some comparison about cars and human bodies to have a better understanding of the following concepts and how they work:
Well… while… of course… they are completely different… they still have some common grounds
Let’s play with the idea
Let’s say your lungs are the radiator that keeps the engine cools down.
Arms and legs= wheels and transmission
Nervous system= electrical system
Pump = hearts
Gasoline = blood
Let’s say there are two ways to take care of a car
(one aspect I’m not going to cover here is the exterior part, which is the equivalent of the beauty or look on people and how everyone takes care of it)
Let’s start with the functional part
1-One is what people put on it.
2-Second how people treat it.
Depending on this two factor the durability of the Car.
1-What people put on their cars.
Does everyone put?
Good radiator fluids?
Most probably if people put good quality products, it will make the vehicle to last and run better and longer.
In the human body the equivalent of fluid is how and what people eats and drinks, how everyone feed themselves .
The food eaten and the fluids drunk.
In a nutshell:
“The proper nutrition”
The body will respond better according to the fluids and food people pour on it. Bad food will clog arteries give High Cholesterol, etc, etc, etc
That is how important it to have proper advice in this matter so muscles, joints and tissues can grow healthy.
That is what a trained nutritionist can do.
Then we have a second aspect
2-How people treats the car.
If a car is run smoothly in a nice road the mechanics will not get damage and will last longer.
Doing the proper alignment,tire rotation and engine checks is vital to the durability.
Same happens with the body
Depend on how people treat their bodies it will respond will last longer or shorter time.
It is important to check posture alignment. Development of Kyphosis that in the long run affect all vital systems can be avoided with proper maintenance.
Think about it
How often people check their posture?
Where to go to do that?
We see a lot of mechanic shop but posture alignment?
Knowing this will allow people to check muscles, joint imbalances and correct them.
The sooner people start correcting them the better and the longer the body will stay healthy and active.
It starts in children and will continue in adulthood.
Another question to address is
How to treat the body while doing certain activities, using proper body mechanic while running, walking, working, lifting, reaching, sitting is crucial to make it last longer time and in good shape.
The body get damage when things are not done properly and where there is a misalignment between join and muscle, if so then pain, arthritis and a lot series of diseases and conditions will come and people don’t know why.
For a broken car anyone can buy a spare part.
For a broken body breaks most probably the solution will be surgery.
Imagine someone running with a misaligned limb ( flat foot, deviated knee, weak glutes or pelvis muscles group etc) the body will hurt itself making the condition worse.
Going to the gym without proper supervision will not solve the problem most probably will increase it, since the body will work repeatedly on the wrong movement.
Who can fix these conditions and who can give you proper supervision

As mechanics, Physical Therapist work on posture and proper body mechanic to correct imbalances and muscle weakness. We study years how muscles work and how different ailment can affect them.

The only difference between a car and a body is that
People can buy a new car and disposed the old one
but the body is the only one God has given us
